At least 10 PKK terrorists were killed during ongoing operations in Turkey’s southeastern provinces since Tuesday, Turkish military announced Wednesday.

According to the Turkish General Staff, six PKK terrorists were killed in Diyarbakir province, two others in Sirnak province and two more in Mardin province in separate operations.

On Monday, a police officer was martyred and three PKK terrorists were killed during a clash in Diyarbakir province. Ten other policemen also got injured in that incident.

Numerous weapons were also seized during the operations, the military added.

The PKK -- also listed as a terrorist organization by the U.S. and the EU -- resumed its 30-year armed campaign against the Turkish state in late July 2015.

Since then, more than 290 members of the security forces have been martyred and thousands of PKK terrorists killed in operations across Turkey and northern Iraq.
